PERSONNEL AND ORGANIZATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE
Currently, DISA has fifty-two Members as Staff for programme implementation. They have been trained in Social Analysis, PRA, Community Health Education, Techniques of Non-formal Education and Joyful Learning, Skill Development, Panchayati Raj Systems, Group Formation, Micro-credit and Self-Help Groups, Gender Sensitization and Gender Justice, Disaster Risk Reduction, Inclusive Development of Persons with Disabilities, Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resource Management, Family Centred Child Development, Remedial Coaching and Life Coping Education etc.
As a Development Organisation, DISA has its own Office at Purana Dak Khana, Behind Civil Court, Basti. There is one Training Centre attached to the Office, which has the facilities for residential training and can accommodate about 50- 60 people at a time. The Conference Hall is 70 x 30 feet in size. Our major strength is in mobilising and facilitating Social Capital for development interventions. We are also capable of various capacity-building programmes for the development personnel. There are seven Community Centres where DISA has Field Offices for coordinating the activities in the five Districts of Ayodhya, Basti, Gorakhpur, Shravasti and Siddharthnagar in Uttar Pradesh. DISA is operating in Chatra Block of Chatra District and Angara Block of Ranchi District in Jharkhand. DISA has a plan to expand the programme interventions to other districts and areas.
