Development Initiatives By Social Animation (DISA) is a Registered Charitable and Social Service Society under Society Registration Act 1860 and was registered on 24 September 2001. This Society has got Income Tax Exemption under Form 10 AC (12 A) and FCRA Registration for receiving Foreign Contributions. DISA is accredited with Credibility Alliance under Desirable Norms and is registered for CSR Activities (Registration No. is CSR00074795). At present, DISA is more actively involved in the selected villages of Ayodhya, Basti, Gorakhpur, Shravasti and Siddharthnagar Districts in Uttar Pradesh and Chatra District in Jharkhand for the integrated development of the marginalized and excluded sections. The major Thematic Areas of Interventions include Financial Inclusion and Livelihood Programme, Gender Justice and Women Empowerment, Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resource Management, Actions for creating an Eco System with climate friendly Villages and people, Community Based Inclusive Development of Children and Youngsters with Disabilities, Leadership Development and Empowerment of Adolescent Girls (Saloni), Eco-based Disaster Risk Reduction, Facilitation of Children’s Parliament, and Skill and Entrepreneurship Development for Youth.
