Development Initiatives by Social Animation (DISA) is a Registered Charitable and Social Service Society under Society Registration Act 1860 and was registered on 24 September 2001. At present, DISA is more actively involved in the selected villages of Basti, Siddharthnagar, Gorakhpur and Shravasti Districts for the integrated development of the marginalized and excluded sections. The major Thematic Areas of Interventions include Financial Inclusion and Livelihood Programme, Gender Justice and Women Empowerment, Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resource Management, Inclusive Development of Children and Youngsters with Disabilities, Power Within - Leadership Development and Empowerment of Adolescent Girls (Saloni), Nodal Organization of CHILDLINE- Gorakhpur, Eco-based Disaster Risk Reduction and Skill Development for Youth.
