Personnel and Organizational Infrastructure
At present, DISA has one Programme Director, one Asst. Program Director, one Project Officer, one MIS Officer, four Project Area Directors, nine Coordinators, twenty Facilitators, five Tailoring Centre Instructors, one Director and one Coordinator for CHILDLINE Nodal Organization for Gorakhpur City Coordination, one Finance Manager, and two Office Assistants as Staff for programme implementation. They have been trained in Social Analysis, PRA, Community Health Education, Techniques of Non-formal Education and Joyful Learning, Skill Development, Panchayati Raj Systems, Group Formation, Micro-credit and Self Help Groups, Gender Sensitization, Disaster Risk Reduction, Inclusive Development of Persons with Disabilities etc. There are four persons as support Staff at the Training Centre.
As a Development Organization, DISA has its own Office at Purana Dak Khana, Behind Civil Court, Basti. There is one Training Centre attached with the Office, which has the facilities for residential training and can accommodate about 50- 60 people at a time. The Conference Hall is of 70 x 30 feet size. We are capable of community mobilization through Puppetry, Street Plays, Folk Songs and many awareness programmes as we have our own teams. Our major strength is in mobilizing and facilitating Social Capital for development interventions. We are also capable of various capacity building programmes for the development personnel. There are seven Community Centres where DISA has Field Offices for Coordinating the activities four Districts of Basti, Gorakhpur, Siddharthnagar and Shravasti. DISA has the plan of expanding the programme interventions to other districts and areas.
